I grew up in Lakewood, Colorado and was in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Lakewood High School. I graduated from Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University in 2008 with a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish.
After college I trained to become a professional Spanish medical interpreter. From September 2009 until April 2012 I worked in the orthopedic surgery clinic at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in Denver as a medical assistant, receptionist and Spanish medical interpreter.
In my free time I enjoy playing tennis and ping pong, cycling, snowboarding, hosting a book club, and Spanish-language films and podcasts.
